If it comes with the carrier-style print head and works, you're in good shape (you also need the brick power cord, same one as used with the 1500). I just put two of these back into service and they are doing well. The carrier-style print head holds 2 ink cartridges, one color and one black. Black cartridges are less than $4 each from online dealers. But a new replacement print head can cost as much as $50. I have another SW 2500 with no print head which I will probably keep as a spare. All three have the localtalk option, a wart-shaped thing covering the serial port. I also have a 2400 which blows fuses in its internal power supply and will likely be trashed.
