I have an Asante MINI EN/SC. No power supply. No cable. I've shown it to be good
by using a bench power supply, and borrowing a cable from my Asante Desktop
EN/SC.

I hate wall-warts.

So, I thought that maybe I could make-up a cable that takes power from the
unused external floppy drive socket on the back of my Classic II. The unit says
it requires 12v @ 800mA (I measured 440mA with it just sitting there). My
information tells me that pins 7 and 8 of the DB-19 connector are +12V and pins
1,2,3, and 4 are ground.

Does anybody know how much current can be pulled from the floppy disk 12v supply
without blowing it up? :-P

Cheers,
       John
