Here's another question regarding my SE FDHD:

I've got system 6.0.8 and 7.0 (with tuneup) on this machine.
I use Apple's System Picker to toggle between them
(suggested by Jagshouse) and use Desktop Manager to
eliminate the lengthy desktop rebuilds.

My problem is that 6.0.8 doesn't seem to allow me to keep
application icons on the desktop, only drive icons. I'd like
to have the SystemPicker icon on the desktop so I can switch
and restart without having to open extra windows. Is there a
utility that allows me to do that? I saw that there is a
folder called desktop folder that has System Picker in it,
I'm guessing that DesktopManager extension I installed is
preventing it from loading.

An alternate solution would be having the ability to place
this file in the Apple Menu? Can you customize this menu in
6? My experience with macs goes back to 7.5 (on a PowerPc
7100), and this system is somewhat new to me.

I'd appreciate any suggestions,

J White
