If you're using a USB floppy drive, It won't be able to read
the 800K format that the Plus (or other) machine uses

I read somwwhere that the 800K floppies vary the RPM's when
reading/writing and that the USB drive is a single speed
drive. Whether that i true or not, I don't know.

Do you have another mac by chance that has a 1.4 floppy that
you can use for this file transfer?
