I have an old Dura Micro external 4x SCSI CD-ROM that I used to use with my Classic II, before I sold it. I was running 7.1. Worked like a charm, using the old version of CD-ROM Toolkit that came with the drive. BTW, it's really just a Pioneer internal drive repackaged in an external case. I'd gladly offer it to you, but I'll be using it with an SE/30 shortly. However, I can send you a copy of the software that came with it, once I figure out what I did with it. CD-ROM Toolkit also recognizes a whole slew of other SCSI CD-ROM drives, so if you get stuck with a drive your Classic won't recognize, let me know. The product code on the bottom of the case is 06112, if you want to try your luck on ebay or the swap list. -Brad -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
