I'm looking for a place to get old Mac OS versions that are not commonly seen. If I remember right, didn't Apple release all Mac OS 7.5.5 and earlier as free software? If so, why do they only keep 7.0 and 7.5.5 on their FTP site?
Particularly, I'd like 7.1 or 7.1.2 Also any of those obscure "updates" (7.5.4) that are close to gone from existance. (Basically I'm trying to create a historical "History of Mac OS" CD - I legally have 7.6.1, 8.1, 8.6, and 9.1 so...) :-) Any help appreciated -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
