Hi, >what I need to get a Color OneScanner working
I've not tried my scanner on anything but a PowerMac but here's some info. First and foremost, you need the driver. This is available on the Apple site somewhere. The last version was Scanner 4.3, but there is also a V3. For some reason or other that I've forgotten, I've put a space at the beginning of the name so that it load early. There's also an Apple ColorOne Chooser extension that is used (I think) by the Textbridge OCR tool from Xerox (that came with my scanner). To use the scanner you need an application. Graphic Converter with a plug-in works OK, but my scanner came with an Apple utility (in French). If you forget to switch on the Scanner before booting, the utility ScannerProbe enables the driver to be loaded after startup. HTH Colin B -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
