The 800k external floppies are pretty close to a dime a dozen. Any given thrift store seems to have a couple fairly often. However, you can open then up and swap the 800k disk drive for a standard auto-inject floppy, and then any Mac that can both take external floppies and can already use HD disks can use it has an external HD drive. In other words, it'd work for a IIci, Classic, Classic II, etc, but not a Mac Plus. Quite handy, really. Scott Holder -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
