The top drive is a Mac-only 800K drive as it doesn't have an eject button. The lower drive has the eject button and associated circuitry so it can be used on an Apple II with appropriate 3.5" 800K disk controller. As the Pickle said, the lower drive was very widely used with the Apple IIgs (so there are loads around, even in Europe) and I would guess that the top one is less common. > So: What are the external drives for the high-density disks called?
