If you want a good history lesson in computers generally get the newer
edition of 'Fire in the Valley' by Freiberger and Swaine. It's a good
general read and does look at Apple and the Mac for some part. Not
exactly a Compact Mac manual but it's a good book. Also I'm in the
process of reading 'Odyssey - Pepsi to Apple which is an 'auto'biography
of John Scully. I'm only a little way into it as I've been in the
revision book until recently and thought I'd give my eyes a rest :).
I know you wanted Compact Mac books but I dunno any so I thought I'd
meat out your 'other' book shelf (you do *have* another bookshelf don't
you?? ;) ) with stuff to read on the can/in the bath/on a quiet
Sunday/when your spouse is snoring again.
