Don't forget the Sony SRD-2040A supplied in lots of SEs and external 
HD-SC40 units. Apple had a replacement programme for them about 10 years 
ago -- I found this out after three failed shortly after the programme 
ended. The only good thing about them is that they are faster than the 
Miniscribes.
