The plain PLW has 512 k RAM on board, in the form of a handful of ordinary IC's, about a dozen or so; theymake up the only array of chips you'll find over there. The printer has room for another 512 k. Unfortunately, this also must be the same small IC's. I suppose you don't have them, but perhaps it's an idea to jot down what's written on them, because I've been told that, in older computers, these are very common RAM IC's. You just wait till you find some :) (I can't be talked into opening mine and jot them down for you) Definitely leave the wires, just open the metal hood over the board.
