Yo compacters everywhere,

Our Vern Andrews <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> askz:

>Has anybody used the 3.0 Update ? What are your comments ?

Yup. I have always used it since it came with my System 7.1 install disks. I use it
because I don't know any better. A couple of weeks ago, a Classic came into my hands
as a donation to the senior center. That Classic has been running for nine years in
the hands of its original owner. All of this time, it has had System 7.1 with no
update 3 (nor 2 or 1 for that matter). It had installed on it a reasonable set of
older applications, games, and early online stuff with user created files to match.
From all accounts of its prior owner and my own brief experience with it, it worked
just fine. I swapped out its 40 MB hard drive for a more roomy 80 MB drive. I still
have the 40 MB drive with its System 7.1 sans Update 3 if we want to look at anything.

I agree with Marten, it is a must have update.

Bill
