Yo compacters everywhere,

Our Vern Andrews asked:

>>What is the name of the application/CP that will keep the menus
>>pulled down in OS 6/7 ?

To which our -p replied,

>StickyMenus, IIRC. AutoMenus will also do it.

Luca Rescigno and Jim Lunceford suggested StickClick.

For those of us who have or may want to try a Kensington trackball or multibutton
mouse, Kensington's MouseWorks control panel also offers this feature under options
where it is called "menu lock". There is a second option also here called "snap to
default" which automatically places your cursor over the default button whenever one
should appear. And, yes, I slip back and forth between a traditional Apple one button
mouse and my Kensington four button mouse with ease. Even with an Apple mouse, the
menu lock and snap to default options of MouseWorks are most useful. This works on an
SE/30, Classic II, and Colo(u)r Classic. I have no idea if MouseWorks will work with a
68000 Mac.

I expect to install StickyClick on our SE trainers at the senior center ever striving
to achieve as near an iMac experience as possible.

Bill
