Hey all, Was fiddling around with my Classic and decided to try to get it online. Reading the docs for my Dayna SCSI/Link SCSI-Ethernet adapter, it's supposed to support System 6.0.8, so I installed the OS clean from the Apple Downloads, then installed the Dayna drivers. On reboot, it always hangs with an Address Error, rendering it unbootable.
In trying to boot the 7.1 Install disk, it also generates an illegal instruction, not sure if this is looking like bad memory or not. I've never really tried to use this or the other Classic I have (also generating mad errors), so I don't really know for sure if they're good. Anyone have any memory testing programs that would work on it? Thanks, Scott Holder -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
