where on the case did you mount the fan? if you mounted it near the front, it's the magnetic field from the fan causing problems, not much you can do about that other than relocate the fan. i find the best thing to do is to just put it on the back, either where the current fan is after removing it and enlarging the cutout or on the other side. of course you have to use a power cable with a connector then to be able to open the case, but it works well.
