that makes sense, just be aware that having the fan or wiring near the
neck of the crt or any other part of it will deflect the beam, after
all, that's what those windings on the neck are for, and it's most
sensitive near the back of the neck.  it's somewhat ugly but i've always
mounted the fans to the outside of the case to help avoid these
problems.  i don't have a case in front of me so i'm not sure if you can
still do what you want to that way.  one thing, if you replace the small
internal fan with a big one externally in the same place, you can then
use the small fan internally for spot cooling.  but like i said, i
haven't looked at the cases lately and i'm not familiar with your
excelerator.  you of course also might consider adding or enlarging
existing holes in strategic locations, it's a hack, but your already
well into the hack road it sounds like.
