Is there an on-line source for installation instructions for the Levco Monster Mac 512K upgrade? I Googled but couldn't find much info at all.
I just got a 512K that has one installed but it's possibly defective or not installed correctly. The 512K boots from a System 1.1 floppy but there is a loud buzz instead of a boot beep and there is no happy (or monster) Mac, just a blank screen until the system starts to boot. I can't get a system sound but Pina's test disk produces normal tones. AFAIK, the Monster Mac board should raise the total memory to 2 MB but "What? 1.0d17" reports the memory to be 512K and the Mac to be a Plus. There doesn't seem to be enough memory to boot from a Sys 4.x disk. Should the original ROMs be left on the MoBo? They are.
