Situation: I have a Classic (System 7.1) and am trying to see if a friend's Stylewriter II is functioning, or whether it is her computer that is broken (or both).
Problem: I lack a Stylewriter II driver on the classic, and I lack a floppy drive on my internet-connected computer, so I cannot download one and stick it on the classic. I've obtained a Stylewriter 1200 driver on a floppy, but after installing it when I tried to choose it was told that I needed a newer chooser to run it (mine is 7.2). Despite the error message I was able to try to print with it -- I went through the printer selection screen (how many pages etc), the printer started whirring, and then I got an error that there was not enough memory. I've got over 2,500K free so this seems odd. What to do? Does the Stylewriter 1200 driver ever work with the SWII? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
