Problem with the 4 gig is that the SE/30 won't recognize any bigger than a gig. You need to partition it into 4- one gig drives. All SCSI hard drives should have terminating resistors on their controller cards at the connector end on the underside. Trying to make a PC SCSI drive work in a Compact is a hit/miss proposal.
