This might be useful, it's the upgrade guide for a ppc 6100, this particular
page details the extensions etc you need (for "most" CD ROMS)

if you can get the extensions the you might be OK, you also have to make sure
you get the SCSI id right, I think it's usually 3 for CD ROMS but I suppose it
doesn't really matter as long as it's not 0,7 or conflicting with another id.

I'm having a problem with an external hard drive which I can't get my SE 30 to
recognise, I suspect my problem is a hardware/cable thing though.
