To add to the confusion, I said that a compact uses 512 x 324 pixels. This is wrong. The resolution 512 x 342 is correct for compacts, sorry.
My repetitive use of these wrong numbers come from my card sizes in Hypercard, an app that I use a lot. sorry again.
