Well, here you have my 0.02 Euro worth :-)!

I have found some of my best Mac items at a local flemarket (in Valencia,
Spain) which, in most cases, gets its goodies from the dumpster... I got a
semi-working ColorSync 20" monitor (it just needed a resistor replaced and
a solder joint redone) for 40 Euro (and, cosmetically, it is a 9+). Getting
into compact Macs, I got a seldom used SE 1/20 (case was not yellowed at
all and dust inside was really minimum, almost nil). It worked first time,
including floppy drive. Last modified file was from 1993!

I have got also some SCSI cables for less than $1 each, AAUI to BNC
transceivers for $0.50, a nice StyleWriter II, an SCSI CD-RW for about $8,
... And Mac gear is really scarce in Spain!. Of course, in the fleamarket
there are lots of other nice things non-Mac related.

I have also got from dumspter several working TV sets. I repair them and
give to needed people.

So, yes, it is the same at this side of the Ocean!

Regards,

JOSE
