A very simple, fast and cheap way:
1) Cut it halfway the tool and grip.
2) Take a fitting piece of metal (old screwdriver or something).
3) Weld or solder this part between the parts of your torx.
Ready in 10 min., costs: Cup of coffee?
Made last sunday one for a friend, taking a piece of an old spoke of a
motorbikewheel. Toke me less time then my friend (prof. barman) to make
coffee.
You cannot fix that yourself? Ask your local blacksmith, plumber,
heatingman, carrepair or whoever working with metals.
If there's no very well assorted toolshop around, I believe home-made tools
of this simple kind are always faster available and often even better and
cheaper.
Hope this idea may work for some of you!
BTW, in the UK, every Vauxhall-dealer will have a long ( 12") and thin T15
in his standard tools. Used for certain body-parts of older models.
Have a nice job.
