This weekend I should be able to pick up a nice M0400 cheap at the Seattle REPC. I was wondering, however, what size is the LC580 motherboard? Is it the same as the Q630? I would like to have the option of installing low-cost IDE hard drives rather than the wimpy Apple 80M SCSI currently in my LCII. Would the 580 motherboard even drive the Poor Man's Grayscale internal monitor? Should I belly up and save every penny for an Apple refurb iBook with DVD for $999 for Christmas?
