I'm using iCab 2.8.1 on my SE/30 and just figured out how to make the background white all the time instead of having a black background if the webpage has a colored background. When it has the black background, you have to highlight the text to read it.
To make white the default color for the background, go into preferences, select Display, in the left frame and at the top of the right frame it has the color options. Make sure white is selected for the background and uncheck the box for using the webpage colors. I've tried a few pages that I was having problems reading before and all appear to be fine now. I probably haven't made any new discovery here, hopefully someone on this list can use this info. -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
