I'm using iCab 2.8.1 on my SE/30 and just figured out how to make the 
background white all the time instead of having a black background if the 
webpage has a colored background. When it has the black background, you 
have to highlight the text to read it.

To make white the default color for the background, go into preferences, 
select Display, in the left frame and at the top of the right frame it 
has the color options. Make sure white is selected for the background and 
uncheck the box for using the webpage colors. 

I've tried a few pages that I was having problems reading before and all 
appear to be fine now. I probably haven't made any new discovery here, 
hopefully someone on this list can use this info.
