Public thanks to Marten (van der Kraats) & Martin (Totusek) for their help in getting my older Yamaha 4x4x16 CDRW up & running under System 7 on the SE30/33; I've successfully burnt a CDR & copied files & erased a CDRW (although so far it's only reliable at 2X burn speed), using Toast v3.5.7.
I also have a suggestion for easily altering the appearance of System 7 to something more like the System 8 interface: just try "Aaron". I've been using if for many years, *mostly* without problems (I'm still using the version that I downloaded sometime in 1995/6 AIR). I googled a site here: <http://www.kaleidoscope.net/greg/aaron.html> ...which has downloads & further info ...but I would also be happy to email it to anyone, of course (I don't have the original file anymore, just the extension, which seems to work just fine by itself).
