<snip> I used to run a program called Autoclock to keep my desktop time settings <snip> Got the file, installed on SE/30 running 7.1 and OT. Netchronometer 68k version seems to do not a thing. Opens OK, but has no menu options other than Edit Custom Servers.
I downloaded the latest version 1.4.8 of Netchronometer, and it didn't work either. Everything was grayed out except the Edit Custom Servers function ...and if I tried to add a time server with that, as soon as I tried to save, the application would crash. Obviously, it wouldn't set the time, either. So I googled around, and found and downloaded the Network Time cp (by Pete Resnick, v.2.0.1), and that works perfectly on an SE30/33 using System 7.1 and an Asante NIC. I had to try a couple of different NTP servers before one worked. You can set this cp to conveniently set the time on startup. Try it, prob'y work for you. It was on a Tucows server. Or I can email you the original download. --- brandon davis --- -- sacramento, ca -- -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
