I remember a J S Garrison in the Vintage Macs (or the Quadlist?) when I was
there, whoa I'd say 3-4 years ago. There has never been a war like that ever
in any of the lists that's I've been as I recall. The thing is we need to
learn not to take posters responses personal. I've been practically called
childish and ridiculous by a list nanny just for a question I posted in the
PCI mac list. My answer went to his email not the list, and I didn't insult
him but answered with similar remarks as he used. It is important that we
remember we are in a list about *computers* and insults are something
personal, they do not belong in the list, and this of course is a MAC
discussion list, not a personal debates list. I am sure Dan can explain that
better.

It is still hard for me to understand that all of this started just for a
subject line. I may have been upset but would have dealt with it by a simple
personal email, something that probably just happened by a simple copy/paste
command that pasted the wrong thing on the subject line, it could have
happened to anyone, let alone to a person that I've heard has brain damage.
My suggestion is that anyone who is short tempered (someone who can't take a
joke or a little indiference) should think twice about being in such a list
that hundreds of people subscribe to, all with their own way of thinking and
opinion. Nobody is here to cause trouble, let alone a person who's been here
for such a long time, so please don't take it personal, save us some
aggravation. The wise is not the one who makes the smartest comment but the
one who avoids a missunderstanding by keeping their comments to him/herself.
This goes to everyone not just the people who supposedly had an argument. I
have to agree with J S G, the lists (all of them) are not what they used to be

they are beginning to look like those AOL message boards. Too sad, unless
things change around here a bit, I guess I wont stay much longer either. I
just know I subscribed less than a week ago and find myself in the middle of
this argument, what the heck am I to do!
