Must we re-hash this subject yet again?!?!
I have contacted two floppy manufacturers (TDK & Maxell) and they both 
state that there is no concern in using HD floppy disks in a DD drive.  
I have done it on many occasions and the failure rate is no worse than 
using 1 Meg floppy disks.  If you wish to use 1 Meg disks, they are 
still manufactured and are available, but it is certainly not a 
requirement.
