It's very simple.

You need a long Torx driver to open the case; details in the FAQ.

The a cross-head driver and that Torx driver will let you remove the 
major components pretty easily.

For SEs and earlier, leave the Mac to stand for 24 hours after last use 
to minimise the risk of getting a 'belt' from the VRT and analogue 
board. [Please - no interminable thread about shock risks!]
