It is not a "supported" use -- but it HAS to work ---- most, if not all, postscript 
printers with Mac support are bi-directional for things such as status reports etc...  
And it turns out easier to build a fully bi-directional adapter rather than one that 
only supports "return" traffic... Plus I used to have one and it worked just fine ....
