Thanks for the responses on my driver problems. I've now got it working to my satisfaction using Kensington's MouseWorks 5.02. The driver software ALPS made didn't allow me to combine keystrokes and clicks. Mouseworks does, plus it allows me to keep the menus pulled down without holding the mouse button. That allowed me to eliminate another extension out of my list.
