I am new to the list and I think I have checked all the obvious sources and resources. If I haven't I apologize up front!
I have a Classic II that makes a sound like a tea kettle?!? It starts up fine and works fine except for this noise. Dead Mac Scrolls seems to indicate that it is the analog board but I have put the Classic II logic board in 2 other machines and it makes the same noise. If I move the board or flex it while on I can make the sound change. Is this a repairable problem or should I just discard the board? I am on digest mode so I cannot respond immediately. thanks in advance. Jeff -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
