With the chronic problems with older Macs and leaking capacitors I thought it was amusing to come across this:
http://www.spectrum.ieee.org/WEBONLY/resource/feb03/ncap.html Some PC board manufacturers are running into batches of bad capacitors and are having to replace them before they burst and leak all over the motherboard (sound familiar?). Their problem seems to be bad electrolyte. Ours is more likely to be just because the components are getting old and wearing out. But I thought it was an interesting article.
