They sound very much like video cards.  The 9-pin ports are usually proprietary video 
output and the monitors are sometimes hard to find.  DB15 ports are far more easily 
utilized.

Try eBay or the swap list but these cards are rare, if you find one, be prepared to 
pay quite a bit for it.
