So with the strange Mac Plus that I got yesterday I also received about 150 disks of
software, much of it 400k early stuff for the 128k. These are all copies, no
originals. And many (if not most) are copy-protected. I have a Smoothtalker disk
and I want to run the program but it seems to not want to run on this Mac. It gets
a system error in the program just when it seems ready to let me type something. It
is a 400k disk. I remember running a demo of the program way back in 1985 and being
pretty impressed. I can't imagine it better than the built-in speech in OS8 and OS9
but I want to try it anyway.

Maybe what I need to do is get my hands on an original 512k machine. Anyone know
someone who has one for cheap?

Thanks!

Dave
