You would have to remove the components of the mini dock from its casing. but I still see fitting into the case as a challenge. A mini dock would still be a tight fit per the outer casing is about 1 inch wider than the compact mac case. A micro dock could be used and if the Duo mobo was positioned correctly, with the dock connector being accessible from the rear of the compact mac case, then you could switch micro docks as needed to add functionality. I believe they all (micro docks) have ADB ports. I prefer the full dock features though, plus the fact you would be able to mount the power supply into the compact macs case instead of relying on the AC adapter. IT seems very plausible. If the Japanese techs can mount a G3 or even a G4 into a compact case, a powerbook should allow for much more free room and features. Is there a resource for the pin outs for the docking port on a Duo the anyone knows of? Or a source for the actual male and female dock connectors? What about disabling the screen sleep feature?

I assume you mean a cable between the docking port on the Duo mobo, and the corresponding socket in the Duo Dock? Definately possible, but I imagine it would be extermely messy to do so. Not that you should let _that_ stop you. What about a MiniDock? Is there any chance you could squeeze one of those in without having tio fabricate an adaptor. I know you'd miss out on such lush features as the NuBus slots, but if it fits it would simplify things dramatically... Cheers, Adam. -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
