Neither PC-style, nor Apple II-style 5.25" drives are compatible. The first are
completely incompatible; the second may be electrically compatible with the
port, but the Macintosh doesn't know how to use them. The Apple //e emulation
card for the LC has a 19-pin port that is almost the same as the Macintosh one,
but can be used to connect Apple II 5.25" drives.
