I have spent a little time working on monitors and I can't say whether
Mac ones are the same but there are adjustable magnets on some monitors
around the outside of the tube that can have quite an effect on the geometry
and display. If you are having the same problem on different monitors then
it is unlikely that an adjustment will help. I would have to be a little
worried that an ouside influence unless very close to the screen itself
would be having that drastic an effect. I do not know of a way to measure
E.M. radiation??

regards,

Phil

I'm just guessing here, but it would seem that having several machines
with the same problem is rather unlucky. Have you tried using them in
different environments. Perhaps where you have them (or it) set up has a
strong magnetic field throwing the screen out of whack? Cell phones when
placed too close to a screen (or speakers) will cause interference when
the phone is receiving info. I mention that because I had my cell
phones' chargers set up in our 'computer room' here and everytime they'd
ring or if we were talking on one of them, the computers would misbehave.
I dont know if a regular cordless would produce similiar side effects or
not

I think I'd try this idea first, if you haven't considered it already:
Move a malfunctioning machine to another room and see if it helps. If it
cures the problem, You have to find the producer of the interference. If
it lessens it, move the machine to different house/office/whatever, and
see what happens. If that cures the problem, I'm going to guess you've
got high tension power lines too close to your house and not much of
anything is going to solve this problem. If it acts the same, then I'm
wasting bandwidth, as my theory just got thrown out the door.

Hope this helps,
