I just got an incredible deal on a couple of Mac. I got a Mac Classic and a
Mac SE/30 for $2 each. Basically a steal. I got the last SE/30, but there's
about 8 Classics left as of Wed morning.
These were from a local school district previously in a computer lab. Both
the ones I got work perfect (as far as I can tell). If you're near Denver,
you might be able to get remaining ones.

This ups my collection of Mac to 4: 2 Classics, an SE/30, and a LC580. Which
leads me to my question.
The LC580 has a NIC card in it and I've halfway successfully networked it to
my PC previously. I managed to get FTP working but no true "browsing the
network" type of thing. I'm assuming that the AppleTalk part of the network
will be easy enough as I've done this years ago, but what about getting the
Macs (all of them, hopefully) to see the PC? I'd like to use the PC as a
file server of sorts for the Macs, if possible. I'm not too concerned with
the PC being able to browse the Macs, but it would be a bonus. Any advice
before I attempt this?
I'm running System 7.01 on this "new" Classic, the other Classic is running
System 6.0.7, the Se/30 is running 6.0.7 and the LC580 is running 7.5.1 with
maxed out ram of 52 MB.
I've got XP on the PC.
