this is a monochromatic digitizer. I found one at the salvation army two
weeks ago $2!! It is very slow (30 seconds per scan, although there may be
other versions from my web searches), but it works on compacts (my se30, see
I'm on topic) but not at all or well at all on g3's or a quadra I picked up
the other day as well.

The software was on the software archive of one of the list members.

Unfortunately, the one I got worked intermittently (I don't know why, for
the price I paid, I expected perfection) but when i took it apart to fiddle
with its insides, I broke one of the internal adjustment pots( it has about
six connections to the board, it screws up and down inside, the screwy part
crumbled really, but it was made of a greyish metal, the outside part that
it screw into is chromey looking). Are these things tough to fix,
considering my ten thumbs and giant soldering iron.

Pete
