As far as the security concerns that have been mentioned, they are good points and should be kept in mind. I would never suggest A/UX as an all-purpose secure server OS to be put on the net unprotected. And the binaries that are available out there (for example, Apache at the above link) tend not to be the latest, greatest, most-secure, etc. However, A/UX does make a nice little server with great optimiztion for old Macs, as well as the bonus of being able to run your vintage Mac software without emulation or the hassle of dual-booting. My A/UX box sits behind a nice corporate firewall and is not directly exposed to the internet. Even with that said, it's not a serious development/testing/critical services machine. More just a fun curiosity and bragging rights. This may be going a little astray and tending toward content that belongs on another list.
