Many thanks to all who have responded to my problem but none of the solutions worked. I concluded that my Asante Ethernet card must be fried and I got a replacement today. This one is working, recognized in my LAN by the two other machines and vice versa.
Question: Why can the two other machines access the HD of my SE/30 but the SE/30 cannot access the two other machines. 'Connection unexpectedly interrupted' or words to that extent. The SE/30 is running OS 7.5.5 and the other two are both on OS X vers. 10.6.2
Also the SE/30 does not access internet with TCP/IP configured, Ethernet > using DHCP. No IP and other details are provided by the server. So my browser, NetScape 2. and mail program, Eudora will not function. Must have overlooked something. Can anybody show me the way?
Tia, greetings, Andr.
