Hi Everyone:
You may remember me. I have the Mac SE that will not boot up. I get the
disk with the question mark in the middle. I did try one suggestion. I
covered the hole where there was not protector on the 1.4 Mb disk but the SE
showed a disk with an X through it and released it, so no luck there. I'm
hoping that the drive is okay.
The problem may well be where do I find any 800K disks? I have Mac OS 6.0.8
on cd, which I downloaded on Apple's archive website. I might have one
machine that I can put together to create the disks but I have two problems.
The first being that I am not sure if either machine has a 1.4 Mb disk
drive. The machines are a PowerMac 7200 and 7500. The second problem is
that, even if they the drives are 1.4Mb, I would still need the four 800K
disks to copy to so the SE can read it.
Thanks
David Harris
