Hi: I am the individual with the Mac SE who couldn't get the system to boot up? Well, with the help of J S, I have gotten the system to boot up. Now there is another problem.
When I get to the desktop, the SCS HD 20 is not on the desktop. Nor can I find it to access it anywhere. I notice that the light for the hard drive is flashing while the disk drive is running. My concern is what to do next. I have no manuals or any idea where to locate a troubleshooting manual for the SE. So, I can only get the system to work with the floppy disks. Worse that that, while the software to analyse the hard drive finds a Miniscri 20, it can't mount it. I'm guessing that the system software is trying to analyse the floppy disk I inserted. I also get a cable/communications error when trying to analyse the system. Ok, how do I proceed from here? David Harris [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
