I think thats just the time it takes for the ram test.  More ram,
more time to verify it.  As far as compatibility with 16MB simms, I
can only find refrences that say 'some' 2MB and 16MB simms fail to
work, no specs on what differentiates them.

Does the SE/30 need parity ram?
