You compacters everywhere:

Our Antonio Rodrguez (Grijan) askz:

<<I have a couple of questions about the Classic II. Is it 32-bit clean? If
not, does it need more than Mode32 to become clean?>>

Yup, 32 bit clean all the way. No need for Mode32. The Classic II will boot
to MacOS 7.6.1 with no complaint. Slow but with no complaint. The memory
control panel shows no optional 24 bit mode. The Classic II is a modern Mac
all the way. Well, hobbled to be sure but none of that unclean stuff. An
then Grijan askz:

<<And is there any way to make it use more than 10 Mb of RAM?>>

Nope. And there is the first hobble. Like the Color Classic and the LC/LC
II of the same era, 10 MB is all you can get. The challenge is to see what
we can do within those 10 MB of precious RAM. I keep looking at that
FPU/ROM slot wondering if there is someway to adapt a Classic's RAM card
into it and give it more, More, MORE! Now, this should be a challenge for
you technical gurus amongst us: Can we look into just what might be done
with that slot on a Classic II?

Getting ready are we, Grijan?
