Stumbled on this forum through Slashdot news. I am the original owner of a Mac 128 (purchased during the first 100 days) that has never been modified. It has never required repair, and so the case has never been opened. I would say it is in close to perfect condition.
I fired it up this summer to show to a technology class, and everything still works to my knowledge. I also have the optional Mac carrying case, 10 key input, and some software: Microsoft Multiplan, MacWrite/MacPaint, a few games... unfortunately, I did not think far enough ahead to save the original boxes. I haven't tried one of these disks since they are so old. When I tried a backup disk this summer it worked. I am going to document everything and post some pictures (if it is worth it) for possible sale. As this Mac has always been stored inside at my home in it's carrying case, it is in near perfect condition. I could use some help with valuing this Mac.
