p.s., i often surf with java off for several reasons (including microsoft based servers that seem to not work with netscape unless java is off) and i've noticed that most if not all counters require java to be on to work, this could be why the hit numbers aren't going up and could allow linking to anything and everything on the site without tripping the hit counter.
